Position : Assistant Consultant – Operations Research
Reports To : Director, Coign Consulting

Organisation Summary

Coign Consulting was established in the year 2005 by Arif A Siddiqui with an objective to provide advisory services to Logistics companies as well as industry for developing distribution models, warehousing and transhipment infrastructure, business and operations strategies and organisation development.


Key Achievements

  • Created world class warehousing infrastructure of over 1.5 Million square feet in 50+ locations in India ranging from 5,000 Sq. ft. to 1,50,000 Sq. ft. units.
  • Designed successful distribution models and SCM organisation for various Multinationals.
  • Designed the first 3PL integrated Distribution Park with multiple temperature facilities in Panvel.
  • Designed the first Network of Private Agri Logistics Parks in Rajasthan and Gujarat. This includes Cold storages for Potato and Coriander.
  • Designed the first temperature controlled Pharmaceutical Distribution Warehouse in Mumbai with Cold Storage, Air-conditioned and Ambient store facility. Including multi span heavy duty racking and modern material handling equipment.
  • Designed the Intra – Warehouse concept and layout for Large Appliances division of Flipkart India Pvt. Ltd. Coign Consulting also designed the Process for Receipt and Dispatch operations.
  • Designed a fully automated pharmaceutical Distribution Centre for Wellness Forever. Coign Consulting did the Intra Warehouse Concept and layout design, design of the Multi Tier Mezzanine based shelving system which is integrated with the automation system. The picking is done through the use of Tablets picked SKU’s are sorted zone wise through an automated conveyor system

Position Summary

The incumbent’s primary objectives will be to develop, write, and edit operating instructions, how to manuals and SOPs to help users understand technical and process information more easily.

The role will require analysis of business processes, requirements and study of new applications to translate this information into the required documentation and identification of key performance indicators and preparing performance evaluation matrix.

Position requires great attention to detail, with excellent oral and written communication skills.

The incumbent will help to define the documentation templates and the development of technical writing tools. Individual will work in collaboration with various core team members and use professional concepts to complete a wide range of technical tasks related to project release.

Responsibilities


  • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the project and the process or SOP documentation requirements.
  • Identification of key performance indicators and formation of performance evaluation matrix.
  • Work with SMEs to understand process flows and be able to convert them into formal procedural documents.
  • Ability to analyse, prepare documentation, and co-ordinate layout and organisation.
  • Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
  • Explain concepts and processes simply and concisely to help internal and external users understand the technology.
  • Work across various teams to generate effective materials for the required audience.
  • Delivery of responsibilities mentioned above.

Skills Required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The incumbent should have an excelling knowledge of written and spoken English.
  • The incumbent should possess good organisation and planning skills.
  • The incumbent should be skilled in use of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and CorelDraw would be an added advantage.

Educational Qualifications

  • MBA – Operations Research
  • Knowledge or degree in Supply Chain Management would be preferred.
