Position : Assistant Manager – Business Development
Reports To :Director, Coign Consulting

Organisation Summary

Coign Consulting was established in the year 2005 by Arif A Siddiqui with an objective to provide advisory services to Logistics companies as well as industry for developing distribution models, warehousing and transhipment infrastructure, business and operations strategies and organisation development.


Key Achievements

  • Created world class warehousing infrastructure of over 1.5 Million square feet in 50+ locations in India ranging from 5,000 Sq. ft. to 1,50,000 Sq. ft. units.
  • Designed successful distribution models and SCM organisation for various Multinationals.
  • Designed the first 3PL integrated Distribution Park with multiple temperature facilities in Panvel.
  • Designed the first Network of Private Agri Logistics Parks in Rajasthan and Gujarat. This includes Cold storages for Potato and Coriander.
  • Designed the first temperature controlled Pharmaceutical Distribution Warehouse in Mumbai with Cold Storage, Air-conditioned and Ambient store facility. Including multi span heavy duty racking and modern material handling equipment.
  • Designed the Intra – Warehouse concept and layout for Large Appliances division of Flipkart India Pvt. Ltd. Coign Consulting also designed the Process for Receipt and Dispatch operations.
  • Designed a fully automated pharmaceutical Distribution Centre for Wellness Forever. Coign Consulting did the Intra Warehouse Concept and layout design, design of the Multi Tier Mezzanine based shelving system which is integrated with the automation system. The picking is done through the use of Tablets picked SKU’s are sorted zone wise through an automated conveyor system

Position Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for all marketing and sales activities to generate leads and convert clients. This includes but is not limited to the following

    Marketing
  • Help the team to develop new products for existing and old customers.
  • Prepare plans for generating leads and developing new customers through market study.
  • Preparing marketing mix.
  • Preparing and implementing marketing budget.
  • Developing collaterals for exhibition and conference participation.
  • Website management and updating.
  • Develop marketing collaterals for print, Emails and social media.
  • Manage social media activities on:
    a. LinkedIn
    b. Facebook
    c. Twitter
  • Search engine optimisation (SEO) for generating leads through search engines.
  • Preparing and maintaining a lead database.
  • To collect market intelligence related to the Consulting business

    Sales
  • Assist and work with the team to develop and implement the business plan.
  • Identification of market demand for company’s services.
  • The incumbent will be responsible for making cold calls through lead generation.
  • Defining the requirements of the prospective customers and communicating to the consulting arm.
  • Building customer relationship.

Skills Required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The incumbent should have an excelling knowledge of written and spoken English.
  • The incumbent should have a creative bent of mind.
  • The incumbent has to be an outgoing and aggressive personality.
  • The incumbent should possess good organisation and planning skills.
  • The incumbent should be skilled in use of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and CorelDraw would be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience of SEO and affiliate programs.
  • Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategies and best practices.

Educational Qualifications

  • MBA in Sales & Marketing.
  • Knowledge or degree in Supply Chain Management would be preferred.
